Geilo - Eidfjord Sightseeing

Experience the beauty of Eidfjord and the nearby Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau. Discover the magnificent landscape along Hardangervidda, Dyranut, Sysendammen, and the famous Vøringsfossen Waterfalls.

Your journey starts at Geilo Train Station, traveling through the Hardangervidda, the largest highland plateau of its kind in Europe. Between Geilo and Dyranut, enjoy short stops to explore and take photos. Visit the Sysendammen for 15-20 minutes—a rock-filled embankment that’s also a popular tourist attraction, located just a few kilometers from Vøringsfossen.

The main attraction of this trip is the Vøringsfossen Waterfalls. Walk along the elevated footbridge that seems to float above the rushing water. Spend 1 hour and 30 minutes exploring the area before continuing down to the beautiful Måbødalen Valley.
